MAYOR CANDIDATES AT POOL USERS PUBLIC MEETING

Your chance to question the mayor candidates about the pool and related topics! The public meeting will be at Fellows Court on Thursday October 10th at 7pm. We've invited all the mayor candidates and 6 candidates have accepted.

Andrew Boff (conservative), Terry Edwards (Independent) and Ian Sharer (Liberal) are coming - and the Greens and the Socialist Alliance are sending representatives. Jules Pipe (Labour) is coming to part of the meeting.

Fellows Court Community Centre is at the corner of Kent St and How St in the estate opposite the pool.

THE AUDIT COMMISSION

Several members of the campaign gave evidence to the Audit Commission who were looking into the provision of services in Hackney. They made the point that ex-swimmers from Haggerston cannot easily get to Clissold and so now
have no swimming pool.

POOL USERS MEETINGS

Mike Coysh (chair of Pool Users group) spoke to the Tenants Convention (a forum for all the tenants associations in Hackney) on 30th September. The Convention agreed to write to the Council in support of the Pool Users Group request that they do the immediate repairs to the pool and also to guarantee their continued involvement in the future of the baths.
