Haggerston Pool Community Trust are members of the steering group for the feasibility study commissioned by Hackney Council. The steering group met once in August and once in October and the next meeting is the 5th December where 3 options will be presented to the group. We will pass on the information through this newsletter as soon as we can. As far as we understand - the steering group will make a recommendation of 1 option, then the 3 options are presented to Hackney Council Cabinet in January - who then select 1 option to develop.
As part of the feasibility study, a consultation about the mix of facilities needed at Haggerston Pool was carried out partly by interview and partly by sending out consultation forms to organisations in Haggerston, Hackney and beyond. We're expecting to hear the results of this at the steering group meeting. We don't know if a consultation with the public is planned.
SHOREDITCH NEIGHBOURHOOD MEETING - ALSO 5th DECEMBER
Also on the 5th December is the Shoreditch Neighbourhood meeting. Local Councillors from the 4 wards in Shoreditch come together to hear issues from local people, and Council officers attend to present work in requested areas. On 5th December Hackney mayor Jules Pipe is attending to answer questions - there will also be a statement about Haggerston Pool. Meeting is at Shoreditch Colllege in Falkirk Street N1 and starts 7.30pm.
PEOPLE'S CONSULTATION
People's Consultation event at the VLC (next to Haggerston Pool) on Wednesday January 18th in the evening - more details soon.
KINGS HALL GETS CLEANER
