Links in Hackney

Hackney Council

Hackney Council own the pool building and have run it for a number of years. They closed it down in January 1999 following a health and safety inspection.

The pool appears on the Council's disposal list since it is a vacant building. However it has not been agreed for sale by Councillors and is therefore not part of the active disposal program.

The pool falls into a number of areas of responsibility at the Council. Traditionally it has come in the Community and Leisure department, who ran the pool when it was open. Since it is now a vacant building it falls in the property departement and also the Buildings at Risk dept.
